Definitely a level above your average bodega! I walked here to pick up some lunch sandwiches and was happy with my choices. Seamless suggested the teriyaki chicken wrap so I tried that as well as a hummus sandwich. The hummus sandwich was really big. It came with feta, lettuce, tomato and sprouts. I would order it again. The teriyaki wrap was a bit odd. It sort of tasted like a teriyaki bowl in a wrap. The owner was very friendly and the service was fast. There were tons of snacks, bars, and all the conveniences of a normal bodega. I will be back.
This place is technically a bodega, convienent store, etc but their food selection is really great. It is owned and operated by a lovely couple and they are extremely friendly and very sweet (unlike many of these types of markets). The store in and of itself is quite good and has a nice selection (I would include beer in that although unsure of the prices, but generally they tend to be ridiculous). But it is the food that we are here for, right? The hummus sandwich is great, and so fresh-as is all of their food. The 2 egg sandwich on a bagel is $1.50. What?! The chef's omelete on bread is not $4, the chicken sandwich is $5, a hero is $5...threre are veg options as well as soups, juices and shakes, regular sanwiches, salads, and breakfast. You can see the people making the food, and the entire place is so clean and friendly. I just think that this place is so....great. I know that there are other bodegas/markets/convience stores/ etc that most likely serve up equally as good food. But, only speaking from my own experience, this place is really fantastic-go! If you need a sandwich, or salad, or diet coke, than visit this spot-and get all of it. For a good price and a super value (read:excellent to-go), stop by on your way to wherever you are going. And bring a yummy sandwich......
